Why we only introduce you to one company
Most comparison websites sell your details to three or four installers. That's how they make their money — one enquiry, sold several times over. It's why filling in a form for solar quotes means two weeks of phone calls.
Four installers. Six calls in a day — then a race to the cheapest quote, where corners get cut to win the work.
One vetted, MCS certified installer, when you say so.
Installers pay us more for one exclusive introduction than they'd pay for a shared enquiry. So we make the same money from one introduction as another site makes from four. You get one phone call instead of six. We're no worse off.
There's a practical reason too, at least for heat pumps. The government grant can only be claimed once per property, and you can only give your consent to one installer. Sending your details to four companies sets three of them up to waste your time.
We're upfront about this
How we make money
Solenta is free for homeowners. We're paid by installers. When you ask to be introduced to one, they pay us a fee. You pay nothing, ever — and we're paid the same whether or not you go ahead with the work.
We're not installers. We don't sell equipment. We don't earn more if you buy a bigger system.
What we won't claim is that this makes us impartial advisers. It doesn't. We'll tell you what your property records show and what grants exist — that part is just facts. Working out what will actually suit your home is a job for a qualified installer who has been to look at it.
Three things you won't hear from us
The grant is £7,500 or £9,000. Most people pay £2,000–£6,000 on top. Any website promising a free heat pump is not being straight with you.
Whether a heat pump beats your oil boiler depends heavily on your tariff. On a standard tariff the difference is small; on a heat pump tariff it's much bigger. We'll show you both, and the source.
We're not qualified to, and nobody should recommend a heating system without seeing your home. We show what's possible. The installer works out what's right.

Who we are
Solenta is a small UK business. We're not installers and we don't sell equipment.
We use public property data — the EPC register, satellite imagery, gas grid records and Land Registry — to show homeowners what's actually possible at their address, rather than asking them to guess.
If you want to take it further, we introduce you to one vetted installer. They pay us for that introduction. You pay nothing. That's the whole business.
